My paintings are invented landscapes. They show transparent seas, day-glo clouds and skies alive with light and pattern. Ice at Sea, Red Boat shows a single boat in icy waters facing a glowing sky of transparent colored circles. This image and others like it celebrate the ecstatic, the celestial and the fantastic. I wish to capture a moment when nature bursts beyond our expectations. I wish to present nature as a majestic force, vast, rhythmic, and rife with mythic potential.
